Alice K. (Hoperman) Obold, 91, of Birdsboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Teaneck Township, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Meta (Fink) Hoperman, and the widow of Charles E. Obold, who passed in 1983.
Alice will be remembered as a woman whose kindness touched everyone she met. She had a gentle spirit and generous heart always taking the time to make others feel welcome, valued and cared for.
Alice’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she absolutely doted on. She treasured every moment spent with them and took great pride in watching them grow.
A loving homemaker all her life, Alice had a deep passion for gardening, finding peace and happiness in nurturing her plants and creating beauty around her home. She was also dedicated to volunteering, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Whether through her acts of service or her warm smile, she had a special way of brightening the lives of those around her.
Alice’s legacy is one of compassion, generosity and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
Alice is survived by her sons John, of West Lawn, and Robert S., husband of Karen, of Douglassville; grandchildren Jason (Caitlin) of Denver, CO; great grandchildren Eleanor and Lincoln, Matthew (Hannah) of Tyrone, GA; Daniel (Elizabeth) of Wilmington DE, and great grandchildren Jacob and Mia
