Anne Marie (Debrosse) Mompoint

        Anne Marie “Gladys” (Debrosse) Mompoint, 76, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, in The Reading Hospital following a brief illness.   Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Isna (Homere) Debrosse.  She was married to David J. Mompoint, who passed in 1994.

        Gladys attended high school in Haiti before moving to the United States, where she completed nursing training in New York. She was a beautiful and comforting woman, known for her warm heart and outgoing personality. Gladys had a deep love for music, dancing, and reading, and her joyful spirit and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

        She is survived by her four children: daughters Marie B. “Cindy” Barolette (Olgeuns Volcy) of Sinking Spring and Marie H. Barolette (Balthazar Fortune) of New York; and sons Jeffrey G. Mompoint (Melesha) of Wyomissing and Christopher P. Mompoint of Sinking Spring. She is also lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren: Princess, McKayla, Zynnia, Zamira, Jaden and Lyza, and a sister, Linda Mompoint, New York.

        Funeral services for Gladys will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10:00AM, in Klee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 1 E. Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA, followed by burial at Laureldale Cemetery.  A viewing for friends and family will be held from 9:00-10:00AM in the funeral home.
