Arlan G. Heckman

Arlan G. Heckman, 82, of Womelsdorf, passed away March 10. 2017 at 10:30 PM in the Reading Hospital where he was a patient for 1 week. He was the husband of Laura L. (Henry) Heckman. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late George A. Martin and Edna (Martin) Heckman Madera. Arlan served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed as a route salesman for Tastykake bakeries, retiring in the mid 1980's. He was a member of Isaac Hiester Lodge No. 660, F AM and enjoyed golfing, Nascar and going on trips. In addition to his wife Laura, he is survived by his sons - Randy S. husband of Kathy Kercher of Harrisburg, Terrance L. husband of Susan Kercher of Inman, SC and Todd A. Heckman of Douglassville. He was predeceased by a son - Kyle Heckman. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The Klee Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington is assisting the Heckman family.
