Bernadette Mary Shisslak, formerly of Reading, passed away January 31, 2025, at the age of 82 at Berks Heim. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Timko) Shisslak. She is survived by her sister, Barbara, widow of Dennis T. Ruano, Kenhorst, nieces Michele Ruano-Weber of Wyomissing, Julianne, wife of Matthew Maslar Douglassville, Francine Claytor, Sinking Spring and Monica Ruano-Wenrich wife of Kevin Wenrich, Mohnton. In addition, there are three great nieces, three great nephews and three great-great nephews.
Bernadette attended Prospectus Berco for many years. She loved to make custom jewelry and was known for her love of card games, especially Piggy. Listening to music and singing were some of her favorite pastimes.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 9:00-9:30 AM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM at Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, 10:00 AM. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery.
