Betty Jane Berger

Betty Jane Berger, 72, of Reading, passed away December 25, 2017 at 5:53 PM in the Reading Hospital shortly after arrival. She was the loving wife of Joseph D. Berger. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Pearl E. (Schweitzer) Peplau. She was a seamstress most of her life working for Edwards Shoe Company and lastly working at Todd Lengel, Shillington. Betty Jane was a 1963 graduate of Reading High School and enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children - Kimberly A. wife of Ronald L. Vaux, Jr. of Exeter Township, Todd A. husband of Kelly L. Piazza of Cumru Township, her granddaughter - Nicole Marie wife of Chris Lovato of Columbia, Missouri and her great grandchildren - Toby & Chloe McVay.
