Bonnie Lou Wieder, 89, of Montrose Manor, entered into her eternal home on Thursday September 5, 2024 in the Reading Hospital following an extended illness.
Born in Cumru Township, she was a daughter of the late Francis L. Wagenblast, Sr. and Aravesta “Vesta” (Stufflet) Wagenblast. She was the loving wife of Douglas R. Wieder. They celebrated 69 years of marriage.
A 1953 graduate of Shillington High School, Bonnie was a faithful member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township, serving on the Altar Guild. Bonnie was employed as a pediatric medical secretary for over 30 years for Drs. Harvey Leinbach and Vincent Moffitt. Bonnie Lou loved to sing, was an avid reader and shopper, never missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, and enjoyed traveling on bus trips, dining out and celebrating the Holidays. Above all, she loved the Lord, her family and friends and was a patriotic American.
She is survived by her daughters – Debra L. wife of David C. Brendel, Cumru Township, Patricia A. wife of Jeffrey W. Swanger, Mohnton and her beloved grandchildren – Stephanie L. Swanger, Mohnton and Christian D. Brendel, Washington, DC as well as many cherished nieces and nephews and her dear cousin - Annabelle Fahnauer. She was predeceased by her sisters – Grace A. Harms, Ardelle L. Herzog, Catherine Wagenblast and her brothers – Francis L. Wagenblast, Jr., and Harold Wagenblast, Sr.
