Catharine R. "Kitty" Craley

        Catharine R. “Kitty” Craley, 94, of Shillington, passed away July 21, 2023 at St. Francis Home, Shillington, where she received wonderful care.

        Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Robert R. and Catharine R. (Miller) Moyer. She was the wife of the late John H.S. Craley, Sr., who passed away April 15, 1988.

        Kitty went to work at American Casualty when she graduated high school. She then worked at the Shillington Laundromat while raising her children and retired in 1993 from the Governor Mifflin School District where she worked as a custodian at the G.M. Middle School.

        She is survived by her son John H.S. Craley, Jr. husband of Mary, her grandchildren – Ross Rodruan husband of Barb, Daniel Craley, Amanda Craley, her great grandchildren – Victoria and Landon and her son-in-law – William Rodruan. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her daughter Cathy E. Rodruan and her brother Robert R. Moyer, Jr.

        The family would like to thank St. Francis Home, Comfort Keepers and Tower Health at Home Hospice for their care, kindness and compassion.

        Private services will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kitty’s memory can be made to St. Francis Home, 144 Hillside Drive, Shillington, PA 19607.
