Charles W. Ledig

Charles W. Ledig, 88, of Robeson Township, passed away August 11, 2023 at 10:30 PM at Berks Heim where he was a guest.

        Born in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Charles Max and Ninon Marie Juliette (Pannerot) Ledig. He was the husband of Cheryl A. (Schneeman) Ledig. They celebrated 53 years of marriage.

        Charles worked as an aerospace engineer for McDonald Douglas, St. Louis. He was a graduate of Collingswood, NJ High School and attended the former Highland College, Pasadena, CA where he was drafted, after three years, to serve in the United States Army. Charles loved golfing and fishing, but his greatest love was that of his wife, children, and his grandchildren.

        Surviving in addition to his wife Cheryl is his sons – William Brian Cummings, Birdsboro, Charles A. husband of Lauren Ledig, Morgantown, Ahren H. husband of Nicole Ledig, Shillington, his pride and joy grandchildren – Charles J. Ledig, Daniel B. Ledig, Eloise N. Ledig, and his sister – Elinor Simpkins, Blackwood, NJ.

        Interment with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:30 PM. Funeral procession will depart promptly at 1:00 PM from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM from Park Road Presbyterian Church, 1045 N. Park Rd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Pastor Chris DiVietro, his pastor, and Pastor Rick Knarr of Grace Covenant Church, Pottstown, will officiate. Relatives and friends will be received at a luncheon at the church following the service at 12 Noon.
