Clarabel J. (Schools) Fosnocht

Clarabel J. Fosnocht, 98, of Kenhorst, passed away June 7, 2023 at 7:24 PM in the Reading Hospital.

        Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Francis R. and Elizabeth A. (Conlin) Schools. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Fosnocht who passed away March 4, 2013. They were just shy of celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary.

        Clarabel worked as a sales clerk for the former Lobel’s in Reading and at the Reading and Shillington Farmers Markets. She and her late husband lived in their home on Fern Avenue since 1947. She was a 1942 graduate of the former Shillington High School. Clarabel loved her trips to Myrtle Beach with her husband “Pickles”. She had a special love and bond with her grandchildren. A dutiful housewife and mother, she enjoyed planting her tomatoes, her daughters’ dogs, sitting on her porch, and years ago, bowling. Clarabel embraced her relationship with her husbands’ parents and her nephew Billy Schools.

        She is survived by her daughter – Kathleen J. wife of Dr. Gianfranco Toso, Wyomissing Park, her beloved grandchildren – Jennifer E. wife of Brian Focht, Marc A. Toso and her great grandchildren – Brady G. and Annie M. Focht. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her siblings – Benjamin Franklin Schools and Doris Juska.
