Darin A. Monsanto, 56, of Reading, unexpectedly passed away at Spruce Manor on November 15, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of Alex (Alexandra) K. H. (Schober) Monsanto and together they walked as one for 28 years.
Born in Bridgeport, CT he was the son of the late Donald A. Monsanto and Carol (Tenney) Monsanto.
Darin was all about his family, loving both his 2-legged as well as 4-legged people. Besides spending time with his family, he loved going to estate sales with his wife and his little dog Maggie who he took everywhere carrying her in a little sling. He was immensely proud of everything his kids accomplished and so very much wanted to see what the future held for them. Darin loved music, he was the biggest Beatles fan, loved Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Prince, and so many more – going to concerts was a way of life and he was able to see many of his favorite bands. One thing he will always be remembered for was his love and talent for cooking, no one could rival his holiday meals, especially Thanksgiving. His family will work very hard to keep his recipes alive to honor and remember him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Mandalay Monsanto, Dameon Monsanto, Xander Monsanto and Rob Price and Ange Giddings. Also surviving are brothers: Mark and Scott Monsanto, his mother Carol Monsanto and his best friend David Nichols.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the Mansanto family. Online condolences may be made at www.kleefuneralhome.com
