David Chester Andreas, 80, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away January 8, 2018 at 12:54 AM in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Better known as \"Chet\", he was the loving husband of Joan M. (Remener) Andreas. They celebrated their 58th anniversary in June. Born in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, PA, he was a son of the late Chester Elwood and Dorothy (Thomas) Andreas. Chet was employed by Weis Markets for 44 years, retiring in 1998 as a District Supervisor. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield and was a freemason in Bloomsburg. He loved golfing, fishing and woodworking and was valued for his service to his neighbors.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his 3 sons - David C. Andreas of Austin, TX, James L. Andreas of Louisville, KY, Timothy A. Andreas husband of Ivan St. John of Sheboygan, WI, his 2 sisters - Connie wife of Richard Ball and Jean Coffman, both of Bloomsburg. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren - Olivia, Claire, Teaguen, Pierson, Auvray, Paidin, and Evershea and his great granddaughter - Halle.
He was predeceased by his sister - Norma Marr.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.
