Diane L. Ohlinger, 74, of Reading, passed away July 23, 2024 in the Reading Hospital.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Anna Mae (O’Neill) Ohlinger.
She worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Department of Public Welfare for 35 years, retiring in June 2006. She worked as a clerical supervisor for 24 years and over 10 1/2 years as a case worker. She also worked part time at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Reading.
She was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School, was a member of Renewed Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading. Diane served as president of the Future Business Ladies of America from 1966-1968. She also served as site director of Grow in Grace Tutor Program at the former Grace Ev. Lutheran Church from 2004.
She is survived by her loving daughter – Olesha L. Ohlinger, Reading, her grandchildren – Keith D. husband of Irma Allison, A’nya Diane Ohlinger, her great grandchildren – Nasir, Nasiah, Zaieriah, Jadalize, Carter, Cole and Caleb. She also survived by her sisters – Cynthia A. wife of Jim Alexander, Cheryl A. wife of David L. Delp and their children – Mark Delp and his children – Clayton M. Delp and Bridget N. Delp, and Julie wife of Andy Mull, and their children – Rhys A. Mull and Ryan T. Mull.
A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Renewed Sprirt Lutheran Church Chapel, 440 N. 9th Street, Reading, PA 19601. The Rev. Robert Argot, Jr., will officiate. Private interment in Bern Church Cemetery, Bern Township. Please honor Diane by contributing to her church, Renewed Spirit Lutheran Church at the above address.
