Diego F. Gonzalez

Diego F. Gonzalez, 54, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on October 27, 2024 at Reading Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Adriana Velez.  They have known each other since childhood and have been married for six years, marking their sixth wedding anniversary on October 18, 2024.  Born in Cali, Columbia on August 29, 1970, he is the son of Diego Gonzalez and Nubia (Mira) Gonzalez.

Diego completed his post high school education by obtaining his A.S. in Electrical Systems/Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Suburban Technical School in New York.  He worked for Fortna, Inc., for the last 10-1/2 years as a Software Controls Engineer, and was a cherished member of the Fortna family.

Diego enjoyed his time with his wife, family and friends, dancing, riding his Harley, making sure to slide in with his sidesplitting poker-face humor accompanied by his signature chuckle, and showing off his mixology skills at special events with those closest to him.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Adriana, and his parents, are his daughter Natalia, his brother and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, among many other cherished family members and friends.

Diego was a cherished husband, son, brother, friend and pillar of strength and resilience, and his absence is deeply felt by all who knew him.

        A visitation and memorial service will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA  19607.  A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the memorial service at Adriana and Diego’s home, 504 Harding Avenue, Shillington, PA  19607.

Diego F. Gonzalez, 54, falleció después de su valiente batalla contra el cáncer el 27 de octubre de 2024 en Reading Hospital. Era el amado esposo de Adriana Vélez. Se conocían desde la infancia y llevaban casados seis años, cumpliendo su sexto aniversario de bodas el 18 de octubre de 2024. Nacido en Cali, Colombia, el 29 de agosto de 1970, es hijo de Diego González y Nubia (Mira) González.

Diego completó su educación post secundaria obteniendo su A.S. en Sistemas Eléctricos / Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica en Suburban Technical School en Nueva York. Trabajó para Fortna, Inc. durante los últimos 10 años y medio como Ingeniero de Control de Software, y fue un miembro muy querido de la familia Fortna.

Diego disfrutaba de su tiempo con su esposa, familia y amigos, bailando, montando su Harley, asegurándose de deslizarse con su humor de cara de póquer acompañada de su risa característica, y mostrando sus habilidades de mixología en eventos especiales con sus seres más cercanos.

Además de su esposa, Adriana, y sus padres, le sobreviven su hija Natalia, sus hermanos, tías, tíos, primos, sobrinas y sobrinos, entre muchos otros queridos familiares y amigos.

Diego era un querido esposo, hijo, hermano, amigo y pilar de fortaleza y resistencia, y su ausencia es profundamente sentida por todos los que lo conocieron.

Se llevará a cabo un velatorio y un servicio conmemorativo de 11:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m. el domingo 3 de noviembre de 2024 en Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607. Se realizará una celebración de vida inmediatamente después del servicio conmemorativo en la casa de Adriana y Diego, 504 Harding Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607.
