Dolores Dorothy Cheslams Priest, 95, formerly of Kenhorst, PA, died peacefully on December 2, 2025, at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, PA, where she was gratefully cared for with compassion, dignity and respect.
Dolores was one of seven children born to Leopold Kosek and Helen Czermanska, on July 20, 1930, in Conshohocken, PA. On July 19, 1952, Dolores married her beloved, John Chester Priest, at St. Mary’s Church in Conshohocken. The couple settled nearby and participated in many local community activities, teaching their three sons the value of volunteer work at their neighborhood fire department. They eventually moved to Kenhorst, PA.
Affectionately called the “Warden,” Dolores was cherished for her wit, humility, warm smile, and strong family devotion. She loved to cook traditional Polish fare and was especially skilled at making Golumpki for special family events. A self-taught fiber artist, Dolores often gifted beautifully crocheted bedspreads to family and friends. She was also an avid Phillies fan, a voracious reader and enjoyed solving word search puzzle books.
Dolores is remembered with love by her son, Thomas Priest, and his wife, Jennie Rodriguez-Priest, Coudersport, PA. In addition to her parents and siblings, Dolores was predeceased by her husband on June 9, 1989, and her two eldest sons, John K. Priest and Robert Priest.
Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Shillington, PA, is entrusted with Dolores’s care and arrangements. A private celebration of her life will be planned in the spring. www.kleefuneralhome.com
