Donald Fake Obituary

Donald Lee Fake, 72, of Cumru Township, passed away June 20, 2017 at 6:33 PM in Reading Hospital. He was the loving husband of Juanita D. (Cardell) Fake. They shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Reading, He was a son of the late Russell E. and Edna (Buck) Fake. He retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Birdsboro after 18 years. He previously worked 18 years as a tire inspector at Firestone Tire Rubber until its closing and for 3 years in the Epi room at Lucent Technologies. Donald served his county in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a bowler at Colonial Hills achieving the 700 club and was an expert rifleman. He was an avid golfer and played baseball as a pitcher with the Mohnton baseball team and was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award. Education was important to him and the joy of his life was his son and granddaughter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son - Matthew E. Fake, St. Petersburg, FL, his brother - Glenn husband of Deborah Fake, Cumru Twp., his sister Karen wife of Mike Kissinger, Brecknock Twp. and his granddaughter - Taylor Leigh Fake, a student at Clemson University. He was predeceased by his brother - Robert Fake and twin son - Anthony B. Fake who was 21 years old at the time of his passing. Any veteran, especially Vietnam veterans, are invited to pay their respects and salute Donald one last time during his celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Chef Alan's, Sixth Penn Avenues, West Reading, PA 19611. Please honor Donald's memory be making contributions, in lieu of flowers, to B.B. T. Bank, Kenhorst Plaza Shopping Center, 680 Kenhorst Plaza, Kenhorst, PA 19607 for Education at Clemson University.
