Doris Ruth (Gring) Leinbach Showers

     Doris R. (Gring) Leinbach Showers, 95, of Mohnton, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at Berks Heim.  She was the wife of the late Willard Showers died June 1996 and James M Leinbach died March 1980.

     Born in Reading May 6, 1929 to Earl W. and Edith (Kline) Gring.

She was a former longtime member of the Calvary Church of the Nazarene and more recently attended Morgantown Community Church, Morgantown.

     She attended Reading School District. She loved her large family and loved to play Bingo and watch Tiger Woods play golf.

     She is survived by daughters, Louise M Wisner - Reading, Christine (Teena) Mountz - Gaines, Pa, Susan L. Smith, wife of Karl, Reading, Pa., Deborah L Moore Hall, wife of Wesley Molica Hill NJ Shirley M. Latshaw, wife of Donald, Mohrsville PA, Lisa M Brignoni, Shillington Pa, 11 grandchildren: Robert Wisner, Kathleen Wolle, Eileen Kurtz, James Gollub, Brian Keely, William Keely, Mindy Phillips, Daniel Witwer (whom she raised), Kristin Newpher, Kara Latshaw, Austin Leinbach, 22 great grandchildren: Kate, Able, Alise, Brian, Neena, Kenlee, Emma, Gavin, Eli, Keely, Jonif, Avery, Weston, Brooke, Chase, Cort, Kayden, Kiana, Allen, Raelyn, Lilliana, Josiah, Nathan, Silas, Faith, Kyle and Kahley. Doris is also survived by her sister Arlene Eberly, Kenhorst. She touched several lives that she always considered family: Crystal, Natasha, Sherry.

     Her request was that everyone share an act of kindness and play it forward. She tried to make sure everyone she knew, knew the Lord.

     She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Jean Witwer, a brother Henry Gring, and sisters, Helen Sheerin, June Rietz and Kathleen George.
