Edward J. McNamee III

Edward J. McNamee, III, 82 passed away on October 25. He was the husband of Sally J. (McPhelin) with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edward J. McNamee, Jr. and Evelyn M. (Thompson). A U.S. Navy veteran, Ed worked for the city of Philadelphia as a police officer, retiring after 20 years as a detective. A member of St. Mary's R. C. Church, Ringtown, he was a graduate of North Catholic H.S., Phila. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus and FOP Lodge #5. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children - Edward J. McNamee, IV, husband of Cheryl E., Woodbridge, VA, Dawn M. wife of Darek P. Beyer, Mohnton, Kevin S, McNamee, Ringtown, his grandchildren - Edward J. McNamee, V, Amanda E. McNamee, Brittany M. wife of Belen Aguilar, Connor D. McNamee, Emily M. McNamee and his brother - William husband of Eleanor McNamee. He was predeceased by his twin sister - Joan Krebs in 1980. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 9-10 AM followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM from St. John Baptist de LaSalle R.C.
