Elizabeth Hannah Stauffer, 92, of Cumru Township, passed away, September 6, 2024 peacefully at her daughter’s residence in North Carolina.

        Born in Sigmund, Lehigh County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Edward Henry and Jennie Mae (Hammond) Martin. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Stauffer who predeceased her April 25, 2001.

        Elizabeth graduated from Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 as a Registered Nurse.  After decades in nursing, she earned a BSN in 1989 from Kutztown University.  After that she co-founded and managed Children First Home Health Agency.  As an Alumni member of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, she served as association President for the 1992.  

She is survived by her son and his wife, Damon E. and Phaedra A. Stauffer, Cumru, PA, grandson Lt. Devin R. Stauffer, Cherry Point, NC, granddaughter Madison H. Stauffer, Deland, Florida, her daughter Denise A. Hummer, Whitsett, NC, and the Martin brothers James, Robert, and Ben. Brothers Edward, Samuel and Augustus predeceased Elizabeth. She was also blessed with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 4:00PM.
