He was born on April 10, 1941, in Spanish Harlem NYC to a loving family who shaped the man he would become. Ezequiel served in the military as a chef right out of high school, showcasing his dedication and passion for serving others. Following his military service, he worked at the post office distributing mail for over 30 years, where he touched the lives of many with his kindness and work ethic. It was after his military service that he met the love of his life, the Late Juanita Loubriel, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey that spanned decades. Their union was blessed with nine children, and their family continued to grow from over 50 grandchildren to great-great-grandchildren.
Ezequiel was known for his independent spirit and love for exploring new places with his large and loving family. A dedicated member of the YMCA, he found joy in staying active and engaging with his community. He had a special way of spoiling his wife, especially with her favorite treat, cheesecake from Ratner’s on Delancy, showing his love and thoughtfulness in every gesture.
Ezequiel Manuel Loubriel Sr will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life. His legacy of love, generosity, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved wife Juanita, knowing that he was deeply cherished and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service in loving memory of Ezequiel Manuel Loubriel Sr will be held on February 23, 2024, at Klee Funeral Home from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Ezequiel are invited to join in honoring his life and legacy during this time of remembrance. Following the memorial service, a burial service will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 1:30 PM, where Ezequiel will be laid to rest with honor and respect.
