Homer L. Kline, Jr.

Homer L. \"Rusty\" Kline, Jr., 83, of Reading, passed away March 30, 2016 at 2:00 AM in the Reading Hospital where he had been a patient. He was the husband Doris R. (Wolfe) Kline. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Homer L. Kline, Sr. and Vera M. (Fidler) Kline. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Rusty started working at ACME markets as a meat cutter then spent 23 years as a truck driver for Rachlin Furniture, Sinking Spring, retiring in 1990. After retirement, he drove school bus for Governor Mifflin School District and later Dorchester County, MD schools. He was a Life member of Grill Fire Co., Adamstown, Mohnton and Sinking Spring VFWs. A member of Maryland Salt Water Fisherman's Assn, known as the \"Liars Club\", he loved fishing, the beach, the ocean, boating, gardening and all the Maryland Beaches. He called himself an \"Organic Farmer\". Surviving in addition to his wife is his children - Judith L. Kline wife of Charles P. Kubovcsak, Reading, Ronald L. husband of Suzanne Kline, Nashville, TN, his sisters - Gloria J. Bosco, Eugene, OR, Mae Matz, Allentown and his grandchildren - Allison N. Kline, Jennifer L. Kline and Matthew S. Kline. He was predeceased by his brother Barry Kline and his sister Mabel Matz. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:30 PM in Fairview Cemetery, New Holland Ave., Shillington. Rev Linda Kozlowski will officiate. Military honors by Ray A.
