Isidoros "Izzy" N. Frangakis

        Isidoros “Izzy” N. Frangakis, 63, of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.  Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late John and Despina (Gregos) Frangakis.  Izzy was the beloved husband of Catherine (Endy) Faller-Frangakis.  They shared 7 years together and 3 of those years happily married.  Izzy worked in the family restaurant, DeLuxe Restaurant on North 8th Street, Reading, PA since he was 10 years old.  He continued his career as chef and co-owner of DeLuxe Diner on Lancaster Pike, Shillington, PA, until his retirement in 2023.  Izzy poured his heart and soul into the restaurant and his food.  He took great care of his employees.  Not only at work but making sure they got home safely by personally driving them home, even after working a long shift himself. 

        Izzy enjoyed long bike rides and working out in his home gym.  He cherished every moment spent with his family.  From the long days with his parents and sister at the restaurant, watching his niece and nephew grow up and create their own families, to cheering on his grandchildren at their events.  He looked forward to the mornings of getting the grandchildren to school, watching the Price Is Right, and playing pranks.  Izzy was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and Mohnton Rod and Gun Club.

         In addition to his wife, Catherine, Izzy is survived by his stepsons, Joseph Faller, husband of Chantel of Fleetwood, Joshua Faller, husband of Jennifer of Muhlenberg, and Jonathan Faller, husband of Marissa of Muhlenberg.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Mason Raska, Jared Faller, Juliana Faller, Jacob Faller, Chase Faller, and Phoenix Faller, his sister, Anna (Frangakis) Burkman, wife of Darryl of Sinking Spring, niece and goddaughter, Evangelia (Koutroulelis) Gregory, wife of Benjamin of Bethlehem, nephew, Stelios Koutroulelis, husband of Kaylee of Mt. Penn, and great nephews, Alexandros Gregory and Ignatios Koutroulelis.

         The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Klee Funeral Home, 1 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 East Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, PA 19611 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
