Joseph R. Brommer, 82, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away March 1, 2025 at Berks Heim where he was a guest.
Born in West Reading and raised in Port Clinton, he was a son of the late William Russell and Lillian (Snayberger) Brommer. He was the husband of Susan M. (Angstadt) Brommer. They celebrated 62 years of marriage.
He worked for Interstate Container for 20 years and retired in 2007 from the Muhlenberg School District.
An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also loved attending races, cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies, and reading.
Know as “Uncle Joe” by his many nieces and nephews, he will be deeply missed by his children – Alice R. wife of Jeffrey Fisher, Charleston, SC, Joseph R. Brommer Jr., husband of Heidi, Angier, NC, Diane E. wife of Gary Lando, Sinking Spring, Timothy J. husband Julie Brommer, Morgantown, Katie S. wife of Shane McCaslin, Lock Haven, and his grandchildren – Nicholas and his wife Kristen, Emily, Jeremy, Liam and Brenna.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Historic Metzler Homestead, 470 West Metzler Road, Ephrata, PA 17522. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the family. www.kleefuneralhome.com
