Joseph Thomas Sciurca, 71, of Cumru Township, passed away May 23, 2023 in the Reading Hospital where he was a patient.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Russell Anthony and Ann (DeLauro) Sciurca, He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Quire) Sciurca with whom he shared 9 years of marriage.
Joseph was raised catholic and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic at Flatbush Chrysler-Plymouth in Brooklyn, NY for over 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Sinking Spring Post 6150 VFW where he served as Judge Advocate from 2016-2017. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed drag racing and the C.B. Radio.
He is survived by his wife Deb, his daughter Kimberly, and his brother-in-law Anthony Crivelli, NY. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings, Russell J. Sciurca, Lucille Crivelli and Peter S. Sciurca.
