Kinuko Takahashi Gable, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 25, 2025, at her home in Shillington.
She was the widow of the late Edmund George Gable. Kinuko was born in Tokyo, Japan on July 1, 1933, and became an American citizen in 1979.
She was the daughter of the late Tsuneharu and Chitomi Takahashi. She was employed for many years at the former K-Mary in Shillington. Kinuko enjoyed sewing and reading before her eyesight got too bad, she enjoyed watching Japanese DVDs, and she never missed a game of her beloved Phillies.
She is survived by her daughter Suzette Shakespeare of Mohnton and her grandson Dustin Shakespeare. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in Japan. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son Mark Gable and grandson Derek Shakespeare.
