Larry P. Thomas, Sr., 95, of Spring Township, passed away December 26, 2024, at 5:15 AM in Spruce Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation, West Reading with his family by his side.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, he was the son of the late William & May (Parks) Thomas. He was the husband of Anna M. (Hoffman) Thomas with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Larry worked as a supervisor for Western Electric in NC, AT&T, Lucent and Agere in Reading, PA for over 40 years, retiring in the 1990’s. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran. Larry was a member of West Lawn U.M. Church, a high school graduate in Winston-Salem and a graduate of the University of North Carolina, a member of Reading Lodge No. 549 F&AM and Rajah Shrine. He had a love of military artifacts.
Larry was the owner and operator for over 30 years of the Military Edged Weaponry Museum in Intercourse, PA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter – Sharon E. wife of Chris Yerger, Waterloo, SC, his grandchildren – Jennifer (Randall) wife of Johanny Morales, Sinking Spring, Ian Parks Thomas husband of Sarah Thomas, Mohnton and his great grandchildren – Xavier Morales, Johanny Morales, Jr., (Taylor), Alexzander Morales, Jayce Morales, Keira Thomas and Drew Thomas. He was predeceased by his son Larry P. Thomas, Jr., who passed away March 17, 2024.
Funeral services will be private at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Pastor Terry Cooney will officiate. Interment to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. www.kleefuneralhome.com
