Lawrence T. Jagielski, 69, of Lincoln Park, passed away April 11, 2025, in his residence with his family by his side.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Theodore Stanley and Anna Helen (Check) Jagielski. He was the loving husband of Candace L. (Freet) Jagielski with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.
A 1973 graduate of Holy Name High School, he was a member of the former St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Millmont. Larry was a track inspector of Norfolk Southern Railroad for 41 years, retiring November 2015. He was a Hunter Ed. Educator of 20 years, a member of Mohnton Fish & Game and a former trustee of the Schuylkill Hunting Club (Lycoming County). Larry was involved with the Haycreek Valley Historical Association in their woodworking shop.
Frequently known as Big Lar, Jagielski, and Ba, Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a tremendously loyal and dependable friend to many. He was passionate about responsibly enjoying the great outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Larry was a very talented wood worker and excelled at furniture making, gifting custom pieces to family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his daughters – Heather Jagielski, West Reading, Erin M. (Jagielski) wife of Benjamin R. Hatt, Shillington, his beloved grandchildren – Teddy and Nessa Hatt, 2 sisters and 3 nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Meredith.
Visitation from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 PM. A time for sharing memories will begin at 4:00 PM.
