Marlin L. Rautzhan, 73, of Shillington, passed away January 2, 2018 at Exeter Greens with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Geraldine (Stunz) Rautzhan. They were married for 48 years. Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Marlin E. and Catherine M. (Hoffman) Rautzhan. Marlin served in the US Army during both Korea and Vietnam. During his service to his country he was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Gallantry Cross. He was a 1962 graduate of Reading High School and a 1965 graduate of Penn State University - Berks. He worked as a sales manager for Exxon Corporation from 1970-1987 and retired as a rural carrier for the US Postal Service in 2009. Marlin was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle Church, Shillington, American Legion Post # 444, Milheim, PA, Milheim Fire Company, Victor Emmanuel Society, Nerversink Gun Club, Green Briar Rod & Gun and was a Life Member of Vietnam Veterans of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, his grandkids, the Phillies, Penn State Football and the Eagles. Surviving in addition to his loving wife is 2 Sons - Michael R. husband of Jennifer (Rohrbach) Rautzhan, Peter M. husband of Elissa (Bellairs) Rautzhan, his 4 grandchildren - Olivia, Jack, Luke and Peyton Rautzhan, his 2 brothers - Robert R. husband of Jeannette Rautzhan and Richard R. husband of Lauren Rautzhan. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Caroline. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5 - 7:30 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington. There will a brief time for sharing at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Clement on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. John Baptist de LaSalle Church, Kerrick & Mitti Roads, Shillington, PA 19607. Interment with military honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville at 12:30 PM.
