Mary Anna Moyer

Mary Anna Moyer, 82, of Jefferson Township, passed away November 27, 2017 in her residence with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Moyer who passed away January 23, 1995. They were married for 35 years prior to his passing. Born in Mertztown, she was a daughter of the late David Henry and Laura Eva (Behm) Miller. Mary was a faithful church goer, last attending Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Church, Bernville. She worked on the family farm her entire married life. A graduate of Kutztown High School, she was a member of Bernville Grange for over 50 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and hoe-downing. Mary loved taking care of everyone's children and was known as a mother to everyone. She is survived by her 6 children - Martin C. husband of Melissa M. Moyer, Womelsdorf, Paul E. husband of Lucinda J. Moyer, Bernville, Maurice \"Skip\" D. husband of Sheila S. Moyer, Annville, Daniel M. husband of Wendy J. Moyer, Ephrata, Llewellyn L. husband of Anita J. Moyer, Bernville, Beth I. wife of Daniel A. Heim, Pottstown, her 2 sisters - Shirley M. widow of Raymond C. Dautrich, Lower Alsace Twp., Jane widow of Marshall Worrell, Kutztown, her sister-in-law - Patricia Miller, Fleetwood, her 25 grandchildren and her 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her bother Harold Miller and sister LaRue Dry. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Riveredge Restaurant, 2017 Bernville Road, Reading. The Rev. Bruce D. Farrell will officiate. Interment in Spies-Zion Cemetery will be private. Family and friends will be received immediately following services.
