Mary L. Solecki

​Mary L. Solecki, 91, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away, May 13, 2023 at Berkshire Commons, Exeter Twp., where she was a guest since 2017.

​Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Ethel M. (Jones) Loughlin. She was the wife of the late Clarence Solecki, who passed away July 4, 2011. They celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his passing.

​Mary was a teachers aid for the Reading School District for over 25 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, Mt. Penn and a 1949 graduate of Reading High School. Mary loved her grandkids, family get togethers, and going out to eat. She did not enjoy cooking.

​She is survived by her children – Mary A. wife of Randolph Cutler, Reading, John M. husband of Denise Solecki, Peggy A. wife of Michael M. Bean, Lower Alsace Twp., her 10 grandkids and her 7 great grandkids. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother and 4 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Rev. Brian Miller, celebrant.
