Maureen A. (Stout) Toal

        Maureen A. Toal, 84, of Cumru Township, passed away April 6, 2025 in the Reading Hospital.

        Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Donald L. and Ann M. (Simon) Stout. She was the wife of the late Leo B. Toal who passed away February 20, 2000. They celebrated 36 years of marriage prior to his passing.

        She was co-owner, along with her late husband, of Leo B. Toal & Associates. She assisted as the secretary/office manager with the business and later retired to raise her family. Maureen was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle R.C. Church, Shillington. She was an avid reader, often reading two books at a time. She loved history, politics and watching Philadelphia sports teams. A family focused person, she was an excellent “Nan” and absolutely loved her grandchildren.

        She is survived by her daughters – Colleen Toal, Robesonia, Bridget Toal, Cumru Twp., her half-brothers – William & John Stout, her grandchildren – Meghan wife of Justin Frantz, Nicholas husband of Nikki Yatron, Seth Toal, Lydia Toal and her great grandchildren – Brayden, Addison, Jack, Paul, and a baby on the way.

        Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in St. John Baptist De LaSalle, R.C. Church, 42 Kerrick Road, Shillington beginning at 10:00 AM. The Reverend Edward J. Essig, M. Div celebrant. Relatives and friends will be received from 9:00 AM until start of Mass. Entombment in Memory Gardens, Ephrata, will be private. As flowers are not permitted during Holy week, please honor Maureen by contributing to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
