Nancy Lou (Gehret) Neiswender

Nancy Lou Neiswender, 83, of Exeter Township, passed away October 8, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

        Born in Leesport, she was a daughter of the late Ralph D. and Helen I. (Becker) Gehret. She is survived by her spouse, Lee F. “Butch” Kerner with whom she shared over 50 years. She is survived by her children – Lisa L. Conner (Denton) of Cumru Twp, PA, Leanne Tortorietto (John) of Sewell, NJ, and Steven L. Kerner (Patty) of Myerstown, PA, along with her sister, Shirley Reinert (Rodney) of Port St. Lucie, FL, a niece, Belinda Antolini of Port St. Lucie, her sister-in-law, Toni Gehret of Bermuda Dunes, CA, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Barry Gehret and a grandson, Daniel Barnhart.

        Nancy worked in the payroll office of Spruce Manor in West Reading for many years. A Reading High School graduate, Nancy loved playing bingo, going to the casinos and the shore, and eating ice cream and pretzels. Nancy and Butch enjoyed eating out and taking day trips to anywhere and everywhere.

        Graveside services will be held at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Nancy be remembered with a donation to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
