Nancy Louise (Arters) Williams, 93, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, in The Highlands at Wyomissing, where she had lived for the past 10 years. Born in Coventry Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Grace (Martin) Arters, and foster child of the late J. Winters and Emma (Hoffman) Shirk. She was the widow of Harold J. Williams who passed March, 2008.
Nancy graduated from the former Caernarvon Township High School (now Twin Valley High School), and from Reading Business Institute. She was a Medical Secretary for many years for the late Dr. Irving Imber, and also worked as a Secretary at Camp Industries, before retiring in 1989 as Executive Assistant to the Export Manager at Polymer Corporation.
She and Harold also loved antiquing and were part-time antique dealers from 1976-2004. The consummate “people person,” Nancy flourished at The Highlands, where she made many new friends – everyone always seemed to love her! She possessed an extremely sharp mind well into her 90s, was well-read and self-educated. She will be dearly missed.
A long-time member of Immanuel UCC, Shillington, Nancy was also a member of the Berks County Antique Dealers Association.
She is survived by her beloved stepfamily, including stepsons Terry J. Williams and wife Carol, Wernersville, Gary R. Williams and wife Annie, Muncy, and Scott S. Williams and his partner Barb Powell, Clarksburg, WV.
Nancy also adored her six step-grandchildren: Bradley J. Williams, Amanda B. Charette, Christopher S. Williams, Matthew S. Williams, Graham H. Williams and Sarah Prelovsky. There were also 13 step-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers: Joseph, James, Robert and Donald Arters.
A celebration of Nancy’s wonderfully long life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, with Rev. Jayme Babczak presiding. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.
