Olga M. Werner, 87, of Spring Township, passed away May 26, 2024 at Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center where she was a guest.
Born in Reading on October 2, 1936 to Elmer and Mary (Dillon) Gebhart. She was the wife of the late Gordon L. Werner who passed away March 18, 2023. They celebrated 67 years of marriage prior to his passing.
A graduate of Wilson High School where she was a member of their Drama Club and 4H. Olga and Gordon owned and operated a family business, Werner’s Garden Center on Route 222 for over 50 years.
Olga was the youngest of four children, her sister Norma Zartman, Wyomissing and the late Richard Gebhart and Patricia Zuber. She is survived by her children, Debra L. Hassler, Shillington and Linda L. wife of Robert Maniaci, Robesonia. She has 2 grandsons who were her pride and joy, Stephen A. Hassler, DMD husband of Kaynaz Myrum, DMD, Philadelphia, and Bradley J. husband of Amy Hassler, Jacksonville, FL and nieces and nephews.
She was very active and enjoyed traveling with her family to White House Beach, Rehoboth, Delaware for many years. She also learned to snow ski in her later years and took many ski trips with her friends and family. She and her husband took a cross country motorhome trip to California in their Winnebago. She enjoying dancing, playing cards, gardening, snowmobiling, and trips to the beach.
Olga’s services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the Werner family. www.kleefuneralhome.com
