Pete M. Laspopoulos

        Pete M. Laspopoulos, 80, of Reading, passed away December 7, 2024, in his residence with his loving wife by his side.

        Born in Rockville Center, NY, he was a son of the late Emmanuel and Diamond (Xavios) Laspopoulos. He was the husband of Jeannette L. (Taddeo) Laspopoulos.

        Pete worked as a drawbench operator at Carpenter Technology until he retired. He was raised Greek Orthodox and was a U.S. Army veteran. His memberships included Reading Lodge No. 549 F&AM, Reading Consistory, and Rajah Shrine. At Rajah Pete was a member of the Rajah Shrine Club, Legion of Honor and served as Commander in 2008, Hospital Service Club where he made over 200 trips to the Phila Shriner’s Hospital, served as a Pote’s Aid and was also a member of the Hillbillies, Tall Cedars of Lebanon – Neversink Forest # 32 and was a former member of their “Q” Club.

        In addition to his wife Jeannette, he is survived by his grandson – Tyler Laspopoulos and his sister – Mary Van Horn, West Lawn. He was predeceased by his son Brett Laspopoulos and his brother Anthony “Tony” Laspopoulos.

Masonic services by Reading Lodge No. 549 F&AM at 6:45 PM. Prayer service at 7:00 PM officiated by Rev. Robert A. Whitmyer, Rajah Chaplain. Interment with military honors on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:30 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Funeral procession will depart promptly at 10:00 from the funeral home.
