Philip P. Goshert, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Penn State Health – St. Joseph Medical Center, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Mary L. (Dick) and Paul R. Goshert. Phil shared 36 wonderful years of marriage to his true sweetheart, Deborah A. (McNally) Goshert.
Phil was the highly successful Owner and President of Berks Water Technology, Inc., West Lawn, a company he founded in 1995 with his wife Debbie. He also was a fearless motorcycle racer, earning five championships at his home track, Maple Grove Raceway, and capturing the NE Divisional Championship in 1995.
Phil embraced life with great enthusiasm and adventure. He enjoyed hunting, skiing and hiking whenever he could, both locally and across the country. A certified scuba diver, he loved the serenity of the ocean and the beach just as much as the adrenaline rush of roller coasters near and far. Phil was a self-proclaimed “dog person” and also enjoyed time at the gym, and cheering on “his” beloved Seattle Seahawks every Sunday.
In addition to his loving wife Debbie, Phil is survived by their daughter, Alex A. Goshert of New York City; his mother-in-law Marge R. McNally of Wyomissing; his brothers Scott Goshert of Muhlenberg Township and Bryan Goshert of Mount Holly Springs; and his sister-in-law, Tina Goshert. Also surviving are his cherished niece and nephew, Kristen Bloom, wife of Josh, and David Goshert, and his great nephew Callum.
Services for Phil will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA, with Reverend Doug Shuey presiding. Please stray away from wearing black, as this is a Celebration of Phil’s life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Phil’s name to Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research, 504 RXR Plaza, Uniondale, NY 11556 or online at https://lustgarten.org/donatenow.
