Regina Moran Obituary

Regina A. (Malley) Moran, 84, of Mohnton, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Reading Hospital, with loving family members by her side.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Lilly Marie (Young) Malley.

Regina was a woman of remarkable intelligence, endless kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.  An avid reader, she never stopped learning, completing her bachelor’s degree at 60, and earning her master’s degree at the age of 67.  Whether offering wise counsel or mastering new skills with ease, Regina’s intellect shone brightly in everything she did.  Yet for all of her gifts, she considered her greatest accomplishment to be her family.

Regina dedicated her life to nurturing, guiding and loving her six children, 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, who simply adored their Grandmom Moran.  Her home was always a place of warmth and laughter, where stories were shared, lessons taught, and unconditional love freely given.  Regina loved to cook fantastic meals that were shared with her whole family.

Regina also enjoyed the simple things in life, like quiet time crocheting and reading all those wonderful books.  Always a giver, she loved helping others and quietly gave back to those in need.  Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she cherished most.

Regina worked well into her 80s, as a Therapist and Counselor with Children, Youth and Family Services in Reading, PA, where she continued to give back to those most in need.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom carried on by her family, especially her six children: Christopher P. Moran, husband of Ann, Coatesville, Keith F. Moran, Mohnton, Pamela A. Keller, wife of Craig, Lancaster, Glenn G. Moran, husband of Nadine, Kenhorst, Colleen M. Moran, Birdsboro, and Sean J. Moran, Mt. Penn.

The lights in her life were always her 11 grandchildren:  Patrick, Ian, Katherine, Mandy, Nichole, Matthew, Joshua, Kevin, James, Jessica and Dublin, and her nine great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Regina was predeceased by her brother Jim Malley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Regina on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11:00am in the Church of Saint Benedict, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, with Rev. Stanley Moczydlowski presiding.  Her family will greet friends and family in the church narthex from 10-10:45am.  Burial will follow at a later date in Brooklyn, NY at the convenience of the family.
