Richard R. \"Dickie\" Gottschall, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away March 29, 2017 in his residence. He was the husband of Christine I. (Adams) Gottschall. They would have been married for 57 years this July. Born on Yoder's Hill he was a son of the late Irvin C. and Irene H. (Hoptley) Gottschall. Dickie started working as a draftsman and designer at Textile Machine Works, later Rockwell Int'l and finally as a sales coordinator for Magnatech International, Inc. He retired at age 62 after 43 years of service. He was an Army veteran. A 1949 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Wyomissing Poly Technical Institute he was a life member of the Temple Fire Company and the Goodwill Beneficial Assn. Dickie enjoyed the casinos, watching old western movies, woodworking and shopping. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children - Scott T. husband of Anne M. Gottschall of Muhlenberg Twp. and Stacey L. Gottschall partner of Carl H. Lieber of Temple. Services will be private at the convenience of the family with interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Dickie will be forever riding the range. The Klee Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington is assisting the Gottschall family.
