Rickey W. Shingle

        Rickey W. Shingle, 65, of Shillington, passed away February 4, 2024 at 12:25 at Penn State Health-St. Joseph with his loving family by his side.

        Born in West Reading, He was a son of the late Herbert W. Zerbe and Elsie Mae (Steinmetz) Shingle. He was the husband of Linda C. (Quell) Shingle with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.

        Rickey worked as a maintenance mechanic & electrician for Aluminum Alloys, Sinking Spring, Seal Air Corp., Temple and lastly for Reading Eagle, retiring in 2016. He previously worked for Lifestyle Limos, Brecknock Twp. and had his own business, R&K Computer Diagnostics.

        He was a former member of Gouglersville Fire Co. and Mohnton Fish & Game. Rickey loved going to concerts and traveling to Florida, but his true passion was his motorcycles.

        Surviving in addition to his wife Linda is his daughter – Kaitlynn M. Shingle fiancé of Daniel J. Shelley, Shillington, and his sisters – Sherry Pelkey, Tampa, FL, Sharon Shingle, Reading and Carolyn Ganster, Muhlenberg Township.
