Ronald G. Ray, Sr., 68, of Reading, passed away September 10, 20213 in the Reading Hospital where he was a patient since August 21st.
Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Richard D. and Rebecca Ann (Pryor) Ray. He was the husband and loving companion of Diana L. (Christman) Bohn.
He was a machine operator most of his life, last working for Wamac Industries, Inc., West Chester, retiring in 1997.
He served in the US Marine Corps from 1972-1975. A graduate of Downingtown High School, he loved eagles, fishing, Harley’s, working on small machines, and midnight snacks – jelly beans, coconut cake and custard pie, and pretzels. Ron was a gentle and kind-loving man who was always proud of his family, they meant the world to him.
In addition to Diana, he is survived by his children – Ronald R. Ray, Jr., Honey Brook, Amy R. Yurchak fiancé of Robert Kreidler, Mohnton, Renee F. wife of Nick Cobaugh, Hummelstown, his siblings – Raymond husband of Shelley Ray, Douglassville, Rebecca McComsey, Lancaster, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers – Richard and Robert Ray.
Viewing from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 10:30 AM – 12:15 PM.
