Shirley Mae (Hulsizer) Weiser, 95, of West Lawn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she had been residing. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Deppen) and Harry Hulsizer. She was the loving wife of Arthur A. Weiser, who passed in 1996, and her family finds comfort in knowing they are reunited after so many years.
Shirley attended the former Shillington High School and worked many years as a skilled embroidery seamstress for A&S Lettering, before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting local casinos, playing bingo and card games, and spending time with her family and friends. During the years she resided in Delaware, she loved boating, fishing, and spending time at Rehobeth Beach. An avid reader, Shirley could often be found immersed in one of her many books.
A former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Shillington, Shirley is survived by her daughters: Cheryl J. Brenner, wife of P. James, Lancaster, Kathy Anne O’Connor, widow of John, West Lawn, and Lorie J. Melcher, wife of Gregory, West Lawn, and her son David A. Weiser, husband of Laurie, Wilmington, MA. She is also survived by a brother, Terry Hulsizer, Fleetwood, and the true lights in her life, her cherished grandchildren: Michael, Jamie, Tracey, Jason, Jonathan, Julie, Andrea, Tim, Jennifer, Aitan and Gabrielle, each of whom will greatly miss their precious “Nanny.”
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was predeceased by a son, Kevin A. Weiser.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA. www.kleefuneralhome.com
