Steven Paul Michael, Sr.

        Steven P. Michael, Sr., 56, of Douglassville, passed away October 28, 2024.  Born in Abington, Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Ray W. Michael, Jr., and Barbara A. (Fryling) Michael.  He was the husband of Tonya K. (Bibbus) Michael. They were married 11 years.

        Steven was a truck driver for Buckman’s and Waste Management, and spent the last twenty years working in the manufacturing plant at Deka Battery before retiring four years ago.  He was a longtime member of Liberty Fire Company, and enjoyed hunting and fishing many years ago with his kids, as well as local dirt track racing.  Steven was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Steven P. Michael, Jr., Pottstown, and Sean M. Michael, Bellefonte, and daughter Stephanie L. Michael, Philadelphia, as well as his step-children Nathan Quinter (Joceylne), Muhlenberg, and Bree-anne Kellenberger (Gene), Wyomissing.  Also surviving are his grandson Julius Michael, and step grandchildren Everleigh Kellenberger, Grayson Kellenberger and Nolan Quinter, along with his brother Ray Michael, III, Pottsville, and his sister Rosemarie Timpano, Boyertown. 

In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by a sister, Debra Michael.
