Stewart L. Hirneisen

Stewart L. Hirneisen, 82, formerly of Welsh Road, Cumru Twp., lost his 4-year battle with Parkinson's disease. He passed away on February 6, 2018 at 10:15 PM in the Reading Hospital with his loving daughter by his side, having been a patient since January 25th. He previously was a guest at Manor Care, Sinking Spring. His wife Charlotte M. (Richard) Hirneisen passed away December 4, 1996. Born in Fritztown, he was a son of the late Lawrence J. And L. Esther (Pennypacker) Schonour Hirneisen. A U.S. Army veteran, Stewart was a Dock worker for Acme Fast Freight for 19 years, then as a candy maker for Luden's and lastly a custodian for Governor Mifflin Intermediate School, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed woodworking, vegetable gardening, camping and trains. Stewart was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel, West Wyomissing. He is survived by his daughter - Charlene L. wife of Lynn G. Veach, Sinking Spring, his brothers - Richard Hirneisen, Sr. husband of Jeanne, Davenport, FL, Clifford Hirneisen husband of Deborah, Mt. Penn, Merlin Hirneisen husband of Marlene, Reinholds, Kenneth Hirneisen, Sr., husband of Dorothy, Monticello, GA and Barry Hirneisen partner of James Lawyer, Sanford, FL. Funeral services will held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Dr. Brett J. Reider will officiate.
