Thomas A. Oliveri

Thomas A. Oliveri, 58, of Cumru Township, passed away on November 15, 2017 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by love from family and friends. Born in East Meadow, Long Island, NY, he was a son of the late Thomas A. and Gladys D. (Wechsler) Oliveri. Tom spent his youth on his parent's farm in Rock Stream, NY. He loved farming and developed his mechanical skills repairing equipment and working on his beloved VW Beetle. He loved trucks and especially his favorite Ford diesel. He also loved trading and hauling farm equipment and loved his horses. Tom graduated from Dundee Central School and Corning Community College with a degree in Mechanical Technology, and spent his career as a Mechanical Engineer. He was loved for his sense of humor and quick wit, and was respected as a talented engineer with the ability to solve any problem. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Moreland, daughter, Alexandra Troyan, former wife, Sandra (Alderman) Oliveri, and three siblings: Steven and wife Danielle Oliveri, Santa Clara, CA, Anita and husband John Leone, Huntsville, Utah, and Sheryl and husband Wayne Charron, Bedford, NH.
