Willard W. Wentzel, 98, of Cumru Township, went to be with the Lord, peacefully, on October 10, 2023 at the Mifflin Center, Shillington.
He was born on September 10, 1925; the fourth child of the late Walter H. and Emma L. Wentzel and grew up in Shillington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores E. (Brossman), his two brothers, Paul and Marvin and his sister Mildred Irons.
Uncle Willard served his country during WW II stationed in Honolulu and was honorably discharged on March 23, 1946. Thereafter he was employed by Gilbert Associates for over thirty-five years. Uncle Will loved his boat, the “Dee Will”. Throughout his long life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, trips to the casinos, dining out, and playing cards with his fellow Kissinger’s Church members. His will, sharp sense of humor and gentle kindness will always be remembered and missed by his beloved Liz Spangler, his eight nephews, five nieces, their spouses and children.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Rev. Elmer B. Reinhold, Jr. will officiate. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Visitation on Friday from 12:30 -1:00 PM at the funeral home.
