Allan E. Coleman, 85, of Shillington, passed away April 9, 2021 at 3:25 PM in the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Paula R. (Styer) Coleman. They would have been married 15 years on June 16th. He was predeceased by his first wife Andrea G. (Kramer) Coleman on November 1, 2002.Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Allen E. and Anna Ruth (Levinski) Coleman.
He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. After being discharged, he worked as an administrative specialist with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for 27 ½ years, retiring in 1995. Allan was a former volunteer fire fighter with the Rainbow, Friendship and Liberty Fire Companies in Reading. He was also a former diver for the Reading FC Scuba Team. He loved science, especially the quantum theory of physics, running, woodworking, fixing anything, and decorating his house. Allen was a true craftsman.
In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by his children – Allan S. Coleman, Shillington, Kevin A. husband of Laura Coleman, New Port Richey, FL, Audrey G. wife of James Brudereck, Laureldale, Karen L. wife of Jeffrey Johnson, Exeter Twp., many grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, will be private at the convenience of the family.
