Ancell F. Thompson, 73, of Reading, passed away June 6, 2022, at 10:06 PM in his residence.
He was the loving husband of Marcia M. (Solomon) Thompson with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. Born in Port-O-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, he was a son of Hamilton Thompson, Trinidad, and the late Eileen (Ifill) Thompson.
He was a painter most of his life, retiring from Schneider Electric, Muhlenberg Twp. Ancell loved painting, PAN music, styling and helping people. He liked to see people happy and was the ultimate handyman.
In addition to his to his father and wife, he is survived by his children – Karen Cruickshank, Shillington, Kino Garraway, Joint Base McGuire-Dix, Lakehurst, NJ, Ashley Thompson, Seattle, WA, his step-children – Heather Edwards, Trinidad, Edwin Brazil and Isiah Brazil, both of Seattle, WA, his sisters – Judy Dennis, Brooklyn, NY, Lorna Munroe, Reading, Elma Thompson and Angela Thompson, both of Brooklyn, NY, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nieces – Jennele Thompson, Ainka Munroe and his nephews – Kwame Munroe, Kendelle Thompson and Esan Munroe. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his daughter Michelle Trothman (1999), his brother Glenn Ifill, and his nephew Shaka Munroe.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, Rev. Msgr. John J. Grabish will officiate. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington. Viewing Saturday, 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Services will be webcast.
