Aurea Diaz Obituary
Aurea Diaz, 87, formerly of 213 N. Front St., Reading, passed away May 15, 2021 at 3:40 AM in Manor Care, West Reading, where she was a guest since 2016.
She was the wife of the late Aurelio Diaz, Sr. who passed away July 10, 1982. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Cerafin Camacho and Felicita Alvarado.
She worked in the laundry at Berks Heim for over 20 years prior to retiring. A member of St. Peter the Apostle Parish, Reading, Aurea was an amazing cook, loved her family, sitting on her porch, dancing, music, and going out to eat dinner.
She is survived by her four children - Hector husband of Erika Diaz, Reading and their children - Tony Diaz partner of Jennifer VanMeter, Danielle wife of Bryan Pyle, Dustin Diaz, Hector Diaz, Jr. Moises Diaz & Samuel Diaz; Juan Diaz companion of Maria Vasquez, Wyomissing and his children - Delilia Diaz and Damaris Diaz; Gilbert husband of Alice Diaz, Cumru Twp., and their children - Devyn Diaz, Quinn Diaz & Austyn Diaz; Aurelio Diaz fianc of Veronica Luna, Orlando, FL and his children - Lourdes wife of Joe White, Aure Diaz & Olivia Diaz; 11 great grandchildren; her brother - Jose Camacho and her sister - Crucita Camacho, both of Orlando, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sister Maria and brother Miguel.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 10 - 11 AM followed by her funeral service at 11:00 from Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington.
