Obituary

Cody G. Gipprich, 38, of Shillington, was tragically taken too soon on May 12th.

He is the husband to Jami M. Gresh, married June 8, 2019. Born in Reading, he is the son of Tacy M. (Behm) Gipprich, of Shillington and the late Gregory O. Gipprich.

Cody was employed for the past 3 years as a Maintenance Manager for Western Berks Water Authority. A 2001 graduate of Governor Mifflin, H.S., Cody loved motorcycles, 4-wheeling with his buddies, backyard grilling, decorating for Christmas and Halloween and especially working on the house that he and Jami made a home.

To know Cody was to love him. The world was a better, kinder place with him here. He was the brightest light, kindest soul and first to jump in to help whenever anyone needed it. Many people will go a lifetime and will not experience the joy of knowing someone as kind and authentic as Cody.

In addition to his loving wife and mother, Cody is survived by his brother – Chase R. Gipprich, of Shillington, his in-laws – David L. & Amy M. (Rossi) Gresh, of Lewis, DE, his dog – Preston, and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews from the Gipprich, Gresh, Behm and Rossi families.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:15 – 8:00 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremations Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. I've known Cody my whole life. He was one of my brothers (Terry Gordon) and cousin's ( Johnny Ruth) best friends from high school. As a teenager he'd be at our home often, and along with literally anyone who knew him, i too can say he was a sincerely genuine person. Although I wasn't as close to Cody as so many others were, I knew him well enough to be in tears as a write this, over his loss. I last spoke to Cody almost a year ago, and surprise , he was there to help me when I needed it by putting me in touch with his uncle. The last thing we talked about was where we were currently at in our lives, He told me about his recent marriage to Jamie, and I remember how happy and excited I was for him. Cody being Cody made sure after we talked, that I told my mom he said hi, send his love to everyone. Because that's who he has been his whole life. Empathetic, generous, kind, and humble. My heart goes out to your whole family, and to all his friends suffering from grief at this time, and hope you find strength in each other , and the stories he gave to us all, even us little people.

There was never a dull moment when Cody was around. He was always cracking jokes and doing things to make others laugh. The true epitome of a friend, you knew he was there for you! He was so excited to tell me when remote starters became available for our diesel pick ups! I still have that old truck and will now think of him warmly each time I hit the remote start! The world lost a kind man with a loving heart! Truly one of the good guys!
