Daniel Giandomenico, 85, of Reading, passed away January 15, 2021 at the Reading Hospital where he was a patient with his loving wife and daughter by his side.
He was the husband of Eleanor E. (Ferretti) Giandomenico. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in March.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Domenico & Virginia (Esposito) Giandomenico.
He was a professional firefighter for the City of Reading working from 1963 until his retirement on February 9, 1995. He also worked part-time for The Blind Association as a delivery driver. After retiring from the fire department and the Blind Association, he worked as an attendant for the Reading Parking Authority retiring in 2020.
He served as president of I.A.F.F. local #1803 and was a member of the Reading Volunteer Fireman's Association, and GT Church. He loved power walking and having breakfast with his friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Susan Black wife of Jay Blankenbiller, Mohrsville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings - Margaret, Mary, Jenny, Violet, Eleanor, Joseph, William, Peter, and Sammy.
Viewing on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington.
