Dolores C. “Bushi” Sabulsky, 89, of Montrose Manor, passed away suddenly January 8, 2021 in her home. She was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Sabulsky, who passed away December 5, 2007. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary prior to his passing.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George & Julia (Glodzik) Wawrzonek.

She was very dedicated to and involved with her church, St. Stephen’s Polish National Catholic Church, Cumru Twp., and was known as their head pierogi maker. In her younger years, life revolved around church activities with her family and friends. Stand-outs include Polish picnics, bowling tournaments, and Spojnia Farm. She lived for her family which brought her great joy. She was a great talker and was known to speak her mind. She was a kind and generous woman, always willing to help others. She was a great sewer, cook and loved gardening

She is survived by her three children – Cynthia A. Galowski, Birdsboro, Joseph F. Sabulsky and girlfriend Debbie Oshall, Bainbridge, Lancaster County, Juliann, wife of Mark Byassee, Victor, NY; her sisters – Amelia Schade, Shillington; Stella Mackiewicz, Kenhorst. Known to her grandchildren as Bushi – Erica (Randy) Covington, Lindsay (Brent) Davies, Jacob (Shannon) Sabulsky, Joshua (Brenna) Sabulsky, Sam Byassee & Cole Byassee; and her great grandchildren – Ethan & Luke Covington, Jack & Ryan Davies, and Charlotte & Maci Sabulsky. There are also many nieces and nephews that survive her. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother Edward Wawrzonek.

Requiem High Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 9:30 AM at St. Stephen’s PNC Church, 20 St. Stephen’s Church Lane, Reading, PA 19607. The Reverend David Gaydos celebrant. CDC guidelines will be followed. Private inurnment in St. Stephen’s PNC Cemetery, Kenhorst, will take place at a later date. It was Dolores’ wish that rather than flowers contributions be made in her memory to St. Stephen’s PNC Church at the above address. The Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Shillington, is assisting the Sabulsky family.
